Getting to Know Fernando
Guarachi was born and raised in Santiago, Chile. At the age of ten, he began playing tennis, not knowing that it would open many doors of opportunity and shape his future career path in unimaginable ways. As he developed in the sport, he earned a scholarship to the University of Alabama where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and International Marketing, another achievement that would serve him well in his career.
Upon graduation, Guarachi went to work for the All-American Sports Palmas del Mar Resort in Puerto Rico where he was quickly promoted to Tennis Director. He played a vital part in making the resort the largest and most popular tennis resort in the Caribbean. Through this experience, Guarachi learned a lot about business, which led him to found Pro Team Sports with a leading sportswear marketer. In his role as VP, Guarachi formed a management and consulting company for other top tennis clubs and resorts in the Caribbean. When asked about his business philosophy, Guarachi responded:
“If you’re not improving, you’re losing. If you’re not making things better, you’re falling behind.”
This way of thinking, combined with his ambitious drive and intelligence led Guarachi to form several business connections, make lucrative deals and strides within the sports and business worlds and create one-of-a-kind products and services. His love for tennis remains at the center of his success, with each bold business move connecting back to the sport in some way. His passion and talent for tennis has enabled him to teach thousands of athletes, top junior players, celebrities and more. Guarachi has successfully brokered major business deals for his companies and as a consultant for others.
